About SmallBizMath

SmallBizMath is a set of free, practical calculators for small-business pricing and promotion decisions.

The goal is simple: give freelancers, service businesses and ecommerce sellers clear, formula-backed tools to answer specific questions—what to charge per hour, what a discount actually costs in profit, or whether a BOGO promotion makes sense—without requiring an account or putting the calculator behind a paywall.

Every calculator shows its formulas, its assumptions and a worked example, so you can verify the math yourself rather than trust a black box. See the methodology pages for the full formula reference.

Who operates SmallBizMath

SmallBizMath is operated and published by KaiDigital SpA, a Chilean technology company. Editorial direction and responsibility correspond to Jorge Corsi. The company develops digital tools, software and online products for businesses.

How the tools are built

Calculator logic is separated from the page interface and tested against normal inputs, zero states, invalid percentages, divide-by-zero conditions and known examples. Display values are rounded for readability only after the underlying calculation is complete.

Pages are reviewed for mathematical consistency, clear assumptions, useful examples and honest limitations. If a formula, explanation or result appears wrong, the contact page explains how to report it.

Editorial and correction standards

Each published calculator is expected to explain its inputs in plain language, show the underlying formula, include a worked example and state important limitations. The aim is to help a business owner inspect the reasoning—not merely produce a number.

Shared assumptions are reviewed across the calculator, its methodology page and related guides so that one correction does not leave conflicting explanations elsewhere. Reports submitted through the contact page are checked against the formula and the affected examples before a material correction is published.

SmallBizMath does not estimate local market demand, tax obligations or legal requirements. Calculator outputs are planning estimates and are only as reliable as the inputs supplied. Calculations run in the browser, and the values entered are not submitted to SmallBizMath.

Free calculators and optional services

The calculator library is free to use and does not require registration. SmallBizMath is also developing optional paid business-lead packs for selected U.S. service niches. That service is not yet available, and it will not change access to the calculators.

What SmallBizMath is not

SmallBizMath does not provide tax, legal, financial or accounting advice, and does not claim to know your local market rate. It calculates planning estimates from the inputs you provide—you remain responsible for business decisions and for verifying requirements that apply to you.
